I'd like to take the time to give tribute to one of my favorite famous people in the world- Mr. Robin Williams. To hear yesterday that we have lost this icon of American entertainment broke my heart. Not only was he funny, an incredibly talented drama actor, he was also a wonderful person- giving his time & heartfelt kindness to organizations such as St.Jude's Children's Hospital. He was a dear man who cared about his family and about the world. He will be missed by all. Rest in peace, Robin. Na-noo na-noo.

Summer is here. The best time to read is now. Vacations, the beach, picnics in the park, a day on the road. All of these are perfect time to catch up on your reading. get rid of the stack- or make a new one.

I am currently reading Ready Player One by Ernest Cline which is a fun-filled sci-fi riddled with "geeky" 80's references from movies to TV, from songs to video games. It is a romp and I LOVE it! I recommend it to anyone looking for a fun book with a spoofy theme and not a lot of thought process required. Applause for Ernest Cline and his masterpiece.
Need to see Fanboys now.

Just a small list of the books I love.
Lord of the Rings- Tolkien
Chronicles of Narnia- Lewis
Harry Potter- Rowling
Timeline- Michael Crichton
The Chronicles of Amber

And of course- Magic Kingdom for Sale- Brooks

Speaking of which- I got to meet him......

Over the weekend, I had the extreme pleasure of meeting and speaking to Terry Brooks, author of the widely popular (and awesome) Shannara series and Landover Series. I attended a writer's conference here in my hometown, and on top of attending multiple informative classes with other best-selling authors such as Elizabeth George & Susan Wiggs, I got the opportunity to sit with Terry one-on-one and let him read my recent work and give me his input on how to make it better. It was so uplifting that I have a renewed spirit to write more and keep striving to make my work better. Thanks, Terry.
March 27th- Happy Birthday to the ruggedly handsome Nathan Fillion (Captain Mal, Captain Hammer & Richard Castle) and the loveable Pauley Perrette (Abby of NCIS).
Congrats to NCIS for picking up another year. See you in 2015!
And I Quote....

- J.R.R. Tolkien -
“If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”
- C.S. Lewis -
“Books are the treasured wealth of the world and the fit
